If a customer doesn’t like their meal, the waiter doesn’t argue. They take the feedback, capture the issue, and pass it to the kitchen or management.

Account management works the same way:

  • Capture the issue/escalation clearly.
  • Note the impact, contractual deviation, and expected outcome.
  • Bring it to operations/delivery for resolution.
  • If alignment isn’t possible, escalate to executives.

No need to bang heads or fight battles you don’t own. Your job is to carry the message, not cook the meal.
